Connect 4/12 - audio interface from ...Bitwig?!

It has been running perfectly smoothly ever since I switched to a Mac from my PC (which had buffer issues with the Connect). I do want to mention that my first unit became faulty - the phone button stopped triggering properly after a few months of use - but big ups to Bitwig and the dealer JRR Shop for replacing it within just a few days.

I only have two synths in my studio: a 70hp Eurorack system and a PolyBrute, with the PolyBrute connected to the back and the Eurorack to the front inputs (I don’t even have a mixer or line out in my rack). I honestly can’t think of any alternative to the Connect in my case. Not to mention, the AD/DA sound quality is among the top - I’ve had the RME ADI-2, SSL 12, and ID24, and it’s definitely on par, maybe except for the headphone out being a little bit weak IMO.

Nice, sounds like your setup is the perfect size for the 4/12. D/A chips are cheap enough that there is no reason to expect a significant difference unless they screw something up.

there’s a promo sale running for receiving a bitwig producer license when buying bitwig connect. following sentence makes me wonder whether i’ll get a renewal of my bitwig studio license: “Already own a license? Get an extension of your Upgrade Plan or upgrade to a higher tier instead.”

Sounds like it to me.

so i wrote bitwig support. they can indeed extend the bitwig studio license if there is already an active subscription going on
