Yeah, a USB 10-key pad is around $10, so even though this is the only thing I ever used it for, it was worth it.

Nobody ?
I just got Terraria and Dome Keeper couple of days ago, Dome keeper is boring af, Terraria a bit more interesting but pretty complicated to my taste, like, how do I suppose to know what all the stuff Iām collecting is for?
starting to think I want to try Factorioā¦
I wish NaissanceE would be mac compatible, that game definitely looks like my cup of tea
NaissanceE is in my top 5 all time favourite games.
It has an incredible soundtrack, with stuff from Pauline Oliveros -
The band is named after Oliverosā term, concept, program and registered servicemark of the Deep Listening Institute, Ltd., Deep Listening, and specializes in performing and recording in resonant or reverberant spaces such as cathedrals and huge underground cisterns including the 2-million-US-gallon (7,600 m3) Fort Worden Cistern which has a 45-second reverberation time.
someone mentioned it in the comments of one of my videos that it reminded them the game and after watching some walkthrough videos I canāt shake this game from my head, itās soooo goood, the soundtrack is crazy good⦠this alone makes me want to build a pc, and team fortress 2
You might want to check out Tsutomu Niheiās Blame! which seems to have been one of the major inspirations for NaissanceE -
And Nihei was probably inspired by H. R. Gigerās work, such as his Shaft Dreams -
In his dreams, this window was open and he saw gigantic bottomless shafts, bathed in a pale yellow light. On the walls were treacherous wooden stairways without banisters than led down into a yawning abyss. Since he took to drawing these imaginary chasms, the window of his dreams had remained firmly and definitely shut.
Factorio is a game with incredible depth, very beautiful and complex as desired, its specialty is to allow you to create things that you would not have imagined an hour before ā¦
It transforms anyone in an engineer, its possibilities are crazy.
Its quality / playing time / price ratio is close to that of a Savoyard Opinel.
I just started a game from scratch to be able to test this DLC, canāt wait to see what it offers.
Its soundtrack is also very good, it has been with me for a long time, in the game and outside, it fits so well with the evolution of the world that you develop there.
Somehow missed itās already out! Downloaded. I loved GRIS but funnily enough, never played it myself. Itās one of the rare games I could let my partners play through while watching and assisting a bit when asked. Not sure whether I want to do the same with this one or first play it myself.
Wow, canāt believe I never heard of NaissancE, Iāve been very specifically looking for solo PC games of that sort latelyā¦
I tried to get into Terraria a long time ago and ran into the same thing. Extremely noisy inventory. If Iāve already picked up / acquired 50 other different whatsits with no clear purpose, Iām not gonna be interested by the 51st.
Every indication is that Factorio would be extremely fun and addictive for me. To the point that I think, maybe, itās better that I havenāt played it yetā¦
Interesting comparison, and timely, as I just found my long lost Opinel when I was going through some old boxes.
if I had my pc operational I would be all over this one
exactly, thereās no descriptions on the items, how tf am I suppose to know whatās their purpose or what can I build from that? just wandering around without purpose on 2d kinda boring
Those types of games are too stressful for me
I donāt play most RTS, building games, factory games, management games, etc.
They all look incredibly cool to me, but I find that they feel a bit too much like work for me. (except for Terraria) For some reason it feels more like playing with Lego or something.
Terraria is just 2D Minecraft, only more fun IMO. You can do a lot of different things though. You can just build, and ignore dungeons, or you can go adventuring, and do less building. I run a server for my kids and I on the LAN at home, and we can just hop in and out of the world at any given time, build a few things, and then jump back out. Itās cool seeing the world evolve when not everyone plays at the same time. You start doing archaeology after a while, digging down into places that you built and forgot
My kids and I always put in some basic infrastructure into the world, some rail systems that take you from one side of the map to the other, towers that allow you to get up to sky level quickly, and then we just go off and build crazy buildings and structures.
Man that game, prison architect, and Rim World are so good, but damn is it a nerve racking beginning, and aganizing commitment to proper space management. Maybe I have CDO?
Those are parts of the reasons that games like these stress me out. I usually start off pretty lax, just learning, and then realize that Iāve done everything wrong, and have to go back and āclean upā everything to get it as tight as possible.
I did really like the original Pharaoh though. I got really good at building effective blocks on that one. Thatās probably the last of the genre(s) that I really enjoyed. I did enjoy one that was on a space station (I think it was called Startopia) for a bit, but I think I lost my save or something, and didnāt want to start over.
Iāve kind of sworn off playing building, planning, managing games.
Is that basically, what we call here in the States, a pocket knife? Iād never heard of them before.

The most basic, sharpest knife (the one in carbon steel) and one of the least expensive on the market⦠Timeless Opinel.

Winning three of a kindā¦
Captain of industry too.
Since we were talking about Caves of Qud, the 1.0 release has been announced for December 5th, and itās currently on sale as well! I canāt wait.
