binged Death Stranding 2, rolled the credits at 51 hours, this is the best Kojima game for me, it gets bat shit insane at the end, and overall much better experience than the first one, thou I love that one too, but 2nd one is something special, will be going back to do all the side content.

This just reminded me this came with PS+ ages ago. Just started a new playthrough of the first game on PS4  The glow up it received is pretty decent.

I do need to see if Death Stranding is available on the XBox Game pass that came free for a few months with my new gaming laptop! I have been playing a bunch of new releases for free and most have been duds to me. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle for example was worse than expected. But Rage 2 is really a fun combat game!

The living room PC is quite similar actually minus the GPU. i9, 32GB, plenty of SSD storage, 86" TV. I don’t play most games at 4K though. I keep them at 1920x1080, then turn up every option to maximum (most of the time, or minus select options that don’t benefit the way I play) then keep things at 60 or 120 frames per second. I like the smoothness and eye candy more than resolution. The GPU is just a 3060Ti for this one, and plays 98% of everything I play flawlessly using my usual settings.

My desktop system is similar, but has a 4070 Super in it. I haven’t found a game that I like that needed me to upgrade further yet, and with the current weirdness in the video card market, I figured I’d sit a while, watch things, then move later. Definitely wouldn’t mind a 5090 of course

In the 90s through 2010s or so, I went with high end GPUs. Sometimes even multiples of them (for SLI for example) but in the last decade or so, I’ve switched to buying mid to upper mid xx70 models. As soon as there’s an xx70 model that kills my 4070 Super, I’ll buy it, and trickle down the rest to the living room, my kids’ PCs, etc.

I’m one of the few that absolutely LOVES the original RAGE. I have RAGE 2, but haven’t put any real time into it. I always forget I have it. I think that’ll be my next game after I finish Stellar Blade, and System Shock 2 Remaster. I remember liking the bits I played before I got distracted though. Looking forward to playing it now.

Rage 2 is pretty fun and played it for free on Xbox game pass and Steam has it for $8 on sale. I do like Borderlands better however. I plan to play Lies of Pi and Khazan the First Berserker once I finish Black Myth Wukong.

I liked it too, but I can’t remember anything about it. Now I reminded number two exists, might give it a go when I need a break from the RPGs I’ve been playing.

I was (still am somewhere inside) a huge Borderlands fan. I’ve given it up for the time being though. Not due to the new pricing or anything, but I don’t agree with some recent sneakily added ToS changes. I’m fine if a game comes with a certain ToS (even sometimes when it’s a little intrusive, as long as I know about it up front). But changing the terms after I’ve purchased the game several times over for my kids, myself, friends, family, etc. is kind of slimy. Not supporting them, or buying BL4 for the time being. We’ll see though…

RAGE 2 will do for now.

I am running a 4070 super ti and figure I should be fine for many years. I would definitely take a steam deck 2 though, if one materialized!

I’ve been meaning to grab a Steam Deck OLED version, but since I’ve waited for so long, I figured I’d hold off and see what they do. I keep hearing that they’re taking their time on it. I’m guessing they’re attempting to normalize a decent release window, and not fall into the yearly update cycle of the Apple world. Which I appreciate. I just don’t want to jump in at the end of the cycle.

yeah will see how the new Borderlands 4 game turns out. I finished all of the past ones and was a blast. Rage2 is cool and dirt cheap on sale on steam a bargain.
