Dear friends, it’s the first time I open ableton in my life. I have a simple (in my head) idea - i want to record my hardware rig - DT>DN>AH through usb into ableton WITH the processing of the AH. So far what I’ve managed to do is setup the AH as soundcard and record into ableton but the signal is clean - no AH processing going on. What am I doing wrong?
what you want to do is set up a midi track with the heat active, then set up a seperate audio track with the audio coming from the midi track, silence the monitoring on the midi track unless you want hear phasing. then engage the monitoring on the audio track, hit record and check the waveform after recording is done. you should have recorded the effected audio from the heat.

Somehow couldn’t make it work with a midi track. Instead I set up one audio track running with the heat VST on it and then resampling the output onto second audio track.
