Compatible power banks for TV

They have been good solid cables. There are others available on Amazom and such but these have proven to be reliable over the 3-4 years I have been using them.

Was on the point of buying the INIU bank recommended here, when I thought I should try my Anker bank first. It works fine with its own USB-C cable, reports the power draw from the TV at about 8.6W, showing a runtime of around 7 - 7 1/2 hours.

Think it’s one of these, bought in a sale some time:

I have this one too and can confirm it works great with the TV (and all my other Elektron boxes)

Here it is working great on a little 20000mAh battery pack (PD with 45W max on that output)

Used it for a couple of hours this way and it only used like 20% of the battery (this is the ā€œbeforeā€ picture by the way, forgot to write down the exact ending value…)

Do mind sharing the specific make and model you got there?

Of course, it’s the INIU 20000mAh 65W, model number P62-E1

In general I recommend this brand, theirs seem to be the smallest physical size for a given capacity

EDIT: Now having some issues with this power bank and TV. See my post below

Great, thank you. Just ordered.
For anyone else looking at it, they had it on their own website for free shipping and with an extra 15% discount (P62EXTRA15) today. At least for Germany/EU.
Look forward to play with it out and about

Thanks

sorry OT short:
would this also work for a DT-II ?

Yep, that’s what I originally bought it for!

But the DTII just has a barrel connector, so it can’t negotiate voltage, and you need a cable that can do that. I use this one with the DTII:

Thank you for this! I’m using it now with my DNII and it’s awesome. It charges pretty fast too and it’s so much smaller (and lighter) as other battery packs.

Hi! Just ordered the battery myself to use with TV and with DNII. Quick questions: how are you connecting your DNII to the battery? (Did you get a cable?) As well, which socket are you using when connecting the battery to the the DNII? (I understand for the TV it’s the 45W, but not sure what to connect the DNII to)

Thanks!

Now I use the Ripcord but a more modern USB-C cable like the Birdcord should work too. You can use any outlet as the DNII only uses 1A (so 12 Watt), I think you can power both the DNII and the Tonverk simultaneously.

I’ll link to my earlier response on this. The Birdcord is a good option too but I wanted something that was just one cable.

Search for ā€œ5.5 2.5 pd 12vā€ on Amazon, there are loads in different shqpes and forms. I use a 90* connector with a female usb-c port so I can swap different cables.

I think you may have misunderstood my message, I was linking to my earlier post to show the one I already have and recommend. But agreed, there are plenty of options out there for different preferences!

Much obliged to you all for the advice!

I went for the birdcord as it seems that a lot of people have had a positive experience with the Iniu battery and birdcord combo, but you are right, there’s a decent amount of options out there.

Thank you again! (No more cord extensions when composing in the balcony)

I mentioned earlier I’m using the INIU 20000mAh 65W, model number P62-E1. Well I’m now having some issues with it. When the Tonverk is starting up, sometimes after the ā€œtest patternā€ screen the power bank will just turn off. I’m not sure if the TV briefly stops drawing power, or sends an incorrect PD signal to the battery, but I’m not sure I’d recommend this one at the moment. I’ll file a bug report since it seems like an interaction with the TV. (It always powered DTII flawlessly, and seems to work as it should with other devices too.)
