To much mini but with midi (TRS)
I would not like the keys…
No bluetooth, not battery-powered, can only operate on flat surfaces, no thanks
does this do midi over usb-c? selectable channel?
also revisiting this topic in 2025; anything new on the market that ticks all the boxes?
- battery powered
- midi over usb-c or trs / midi din
- keys

Cool! i like the size of this; only thing is that its not battery powered; so if you want to play a desktop analog synth module, you are gonna need to connect it to usb power, right?
I still find it weird that there aren’t any real good / solid options ticking all the boxes. The yamaha reface series comes close, but the dongle and ‘old’ usb port. Perhaps the best option that combines it all is actually the op-1 field haha, but that is a bit of overkill for only a midi keyboard haha!
Easier than you think ))
Much more convenient than a built-in power - one works, one charges. Perpetuum mobile! ))
BTW I bought two of those keyboards - one for home, one for the road. So good! Has smart chords option which is THE bomb !!

Casio GZ-5, it’s old and interesting. I dunno if I’m keeping it now I have other options but feel free to ask any questions. Can’t spend much time typing now.
Surprised this hasn’t been mentioned here: Synido TempoKEY W25 MIDI Keyboard Controller Wireless Bluetooth
This looks pretty hard to beat.

yes, but no midi out port… it looks like there is always one thing missing. either the battery powered feature or the midi out port. (preferrably midi din)
Mostly I use OP-1 Field with a Yamaha BLE Midi (DIN) dongle.
I can’t believe this exists! Amazing
I like the look of the Loog Guitars keyboard
There’s a MIDI out port, if you look further down in the description, the sustain port doubles as MIDI out. But, yeah, DIN is always better. Not sure why in 2025 someone hasn’t released the perfect MIDI controller yet. Baffling. Money on the table, manufacturers!
It’s not as perfect as it first seems, but it’s still great. It’s micro keys, not mini, so you’ve got a good octave range in something pretty short and super backpack friendly. No midi in for the built in sounds. But in the internal mode you can use its built in sounds to noodle around on an idea. The pitch and mod “wheels” are rockers which really push a button underneath, so they don’t have full knob like movement. Velocity is via that slider, so you adjust slider then all notes send that velocity. It is pretty quick to change midi channel though, so useful for devices like Seqtrak where you’re constantly channel hopping. Built in sounds are like from Casio’s SA series, all synthesized/generated but the Piano is sampled.
Anyway, compact with good octave range, battery powered with DIN midi and the ability to play some built in sounds makes it a bit unique.
can imagine! a bit expensive solution though ![]()
these are cute indeed, a bit of a shame you need to buy an extra pedal to octave shift though
