I can’t get too bothered about it.
I make horrible electronic noise in places where people aren’t necessarily expecting horrible electronic noise.
To be honest, people disliking it is almost as much fun as people liking it.
But I’m not sure I’d play Derby again, the crowd, general vibe and PA setup weren’t really right for what I’m trying to achieve and I need some sort of tension to feed off of and I just couldn’t create any.
After a few decades of making and listening to noise, it’s always impressive to me how narrow the reaction is in those who choose to react.
Being a 6ft 3, 21 stone white guy kinda means the trolls only really have my music to play with, and that’s no fun, is it…

It’s not my kind of stuff at all, but I’m enjoying it, partly because I can imagine the reaction in the room by most of the audience. It’s much more interesting than yet another business techno set, or a new order rip off. Turn up, blast people’s ears, fuck off home. Brilliant

My sister mostly looked surprised and said it wasn’t what she expected… It was, like, actually music. She was expecting ross from friends, and not the artist ross from friends, but that scene where ross from friends plays axel f on his toy keyboard.
Still not sure how to feel about that.
