4800:- sek it says on elektrons site.

So that more in the range of $499.
Which I think is asking a bit much… but that might just be me.

“Build that satire!”

Afternoon everyone. The reactions here are very predictable and all fine. I’ve been using music tech forums like this one for 15 years or so and nothing has changed. There are people who will always be disappointed if they don’t get exactly what they had in mind. A bit childish perhaps, but we’re all human and I’ve certainly been there myself. This is one more product and there will be others in the future that will please some of those who are not happy. Companies like Elektron have to compete and try to tap into various markets and this is one way to do that. Personally, I’m pleased if more people are able to get into making music with hardware by lowering the price of entry. Many new users will get one of these and then move into bigger things, buy more Elektron hardware and keep the company alive (I hope) so let’s not forget that.

Enjoy your gear, whatever it is!

I don’t believe any of the Digitakt doomsayings in this thread, after all I was promised a dancing robot and they gave us a sample player

People have been asking for individual track scaling on A4 and polyphonic samples on OT since dawn of time. Yeah, be nice to have both for sure. But not advertised features so not really something anyone can get bent out of shape over… If those things have never been added to the respective ‘more expensive’ boxes then I’m not sure what made you think DT would get them?

just dropping by to grab some salt for my popcorn :slightly_smiling_face:

@Olle very nice track, sounded like a legit Afx cover :vulcan_salute:t4: (not taking away if there were no intention or afx reference in mind)

My thoughts exactly …

So the lolz then. Good to know. Good luck in life with that.

I think the main worry for me is that Elektron have spread themselves too thinly with this new product line. You have a great line of awesome products already, that are only just starting to see their potential after some considerable delay, and that can still be built upon to make them the best machines they can be. By adding another ‘budget’ product line, this will take effort and resources away from this, and produce a larger set of mediocre machines, rather than a smaller set of brilliant ones.

Track tempo multiplier impossible on DT

Good point. Wishful thinking I guess.

ok, i have to go deep in the manual, thanks

I can see using this as an addition to the digitakt  it’s more hands on than the DT but lacking a lot of the DTs other features

I was hoping for a Machinedrum but this makes me feel a bit disappointed. Guess it’s time to get an Octatrack instead.
