I said current meaning new/not discontinued or used

With the key difference being that the OT felt like a mature product then. The DT does not.

Also, cool demo. I don’t like that machine, but that jam was very nice.

I don’t understand all that disappointed speeches. Look globally , Elektron gear and workflow really changes (upgrade) the way of thinking and gives a lots of inspiration to musicians, I have bought the Digitakt 2 years ago and since the purchase my life will never be the same again. And its so great that now world have even more affordable instrument from Elektron, and I know that hundreds of musicians all over the world will get the perfect tool to express themselves.

It would be pointless to nag, I’m not the target audience for Model anyway and it would seem OK for about 299 euros or so.

But – “the Digitakt isn’t going anywhere” isn’t exactly what I want to hear right now. Take it forward, implement the “drum computer” bit, make the drum related terms printed on the case make some sense.

Diminish in importance =/= dead

Somehow these swarm of Digitakt OS update requests reminds me heavily of a child’s birthday, when the other kids want presents, too … ;D

Do you care that the motto / hat upset people considerably?

Or are you only interested in the lolz?

“Not going anywhere” means it’s very much alive and kicking.

It looks like a great electronic device and there’s certainly a market segment for it.

But I don’t feel excited and inspired like I was for my Machinedrum, Monomachine, AK, AR or DT. I still regret years after I was stupid enough to sell my Machinedrum. It was a music intrument and I had a real relationship with it. This Model:Samples, I wouldn’t even go for a date with it. But there is someone for everyone.

Yes, but it didn’t turn into a drone computer, did it?

I’m not sure this lived up to your hype, @Neimad!

You’re really negative Johan… the DT is still a very good piece of gear, it just got expanded into a fully operational audio interface with OB2… how can you say that

If you mean ‘does not equal’, then, yea. And?

Sadly not.

Maybe I should make a sticker for the front plate?

I’m caught offguard by people thinking that could even possibly be a serious post. Someone being ‘considerably’ upset by such a satirical post is alarming.

well considering how serious people are about their comsumption of elektron products maybe not.

Of course, but if you don’t upgrade the OS the other meaning will be applicable as well.

But I see you’re not ruling anything out.

Can’t get over the strange oversized forehead on this device…

I don’t get the hate! This looks like a lot of fun. Can’t wait to try it in person.

@Ess, can you share more details about the audio over USB? Do we get separate channels for each sample, or one stereo/2x mono channel(s)?

And how are they buttons? Are they clicky like the Digitakt or soft and squishy?
