Comical warranty replacement from Presonus

Needed someone to share this with and you guys were the obvious choice…

I bought a pair of Presonus Eris 5BT studio monitors just over a year ago along with the matching subwoofer. The monitors developed a pronounced hissing noise that despite best efforts could not figure out why. Seemed to be a common issue according to internet searches. Contacted support, did the obvious troubleshooting steps. They said they’d send me a new pair of monitors.

New pair arrives today. Unpack and go to hook everything up. Notice they look a bit different. Then I notice there’s no port on the back to plug in a subwoofer. I check their website, they sent me a new revision of the speakers that you are now supposed to pair with their new BT subwoofer :sob: .

Sent a message back to support explaining all this. Waiting to hear back with what they have to say about it. :man_facepalming:

speaking about monitoring the missing subwoofer plug.
Could you drill one in? *just kidding

Well, they certainly missed a technical aspect there, haha, but it sounds like they tried to do the right thing regardless. Certainly better than some warranty replacements I have had to deal with. Fucking Frigidaire/Electrolux will infuriate you with their lies and incompetence.

+1. Calling for a dishwasher warranty repair is its own extra circle of hell.

Yeah, my dishwasher doesn’t even have the ability of pairing a subwoofer, bluetooth or otherwise! It’s fucking bullshit…

That’s a shame, my last one was so loud and wubby it was more dubstep than washer.

It hardly cleaned any dishes but that bass was murder. Shook the whole block.

Thought I’d send an update to say they are sending me for free their Microstation BT device which will let me connect the monitors and the sub which will be great. Great customer service from them :+1:
