I was wondering if you guys also get a volume spike when using the comb filter +/- as oppose to the other filters.
I use the Digitakt 2 and Digitone 2 and my audio interface is a RME Fireface UCX ii. On the RME Totalmix it shows a pretty noticeable increase in volume when the comb filtered sample plays, that I’d describe as a spike. It makes mixing and mastering more difficult.

The way a comb filter works is that a delayed copy of the signal is added to (or subtracted from) the original. Depending on the length of the delay, this will boost certain frequencies (doubling the volume of those whose period is an exact divisor of the delay) and reduce others (eliminating those whose period is a half-integer divisor of the delay). Think about it with just a single sine wave whose frequency is unchanging.
So, yeah, you can expect some dynamic variation while using a comb filter. If it is persistent in one direction, over a range of input sounds and filter modulations, then something else is happening.
