I made a CAD model of the original character knob and 3D printed it in Black ABS like resin.
You taking orders?!
I use these 5000 grit scuff/sanding sponges as part of my polishing process with clear coat paints and plastics. If you soak them in water for a little while, the 5000 grit is gentle and if you donât follow up with any compound polishing, you could probably get the knob into a territory where you take the sheen off the new part to match the factory parts without making the new part look older or more grainy than the factory parts. I think it would be a real sleeper, even though it looks great as it is.
Absolutely love those yellow cables! Puts a smile on my face every time I see them!
Thanks! Love yellow on everything.
The turquoise ones came with the Vector - need to swap em out promptlyâŚ
Whatâs the brand of that case?
Me. I designed and built it just for this setup.
It looks just so much more elegant
thx people in this thread for making me aware of the possibility. Finally no more fisher price look!
Ps: donât mind the homemade dodgy battery cable
Edit: After a few days of using it with the black keys, I have to say that the DN is a lot more readable and usable for me. The different colours of the keys plus the changing colours of the LEDs made it subconsciously less intuitive to understand at a quick glance. Just so much color information.
With all the distractions gone, I can see mute lights and track triggers much more easily.
Personally, I would recommend the mod, if you have the spare change.
Hi ya, where did you get that func button replacement with a dash from? I have my Digitakt 2 on warranty repair back at elektron so maybe I can squeeze a free shipping on a single button. Cheers
Looks like a black key from the A4mk2 keyboard turned through 90°
Oh yeah, thank you!
That is correct! I was being creative!
