Cmajor Pro54

Pro-54

Cmajor (a language dedicated to writing DSP code like that found in plugins) has been making great strides lately. One neat trick it has up its sleeve is the ability to generate really well optimized web assembly code.

As a demo of this, they’ve released Pro54: a direct port of the beloved Native Instruments Pro-53… that runs in your web browser!

Lots of fun to play with, but also makes me really excited for a possible future where Cmajor patches like this are natively supported in DAWs :crossed_fingers: I could be kind of like Max4Live only 4Everything!

In the meantime, you can get a Cmajor plugin that will let you host these patches in your DAW. It’s a bit of a hack, but getting better all the time. And developers who write in Cmajor can generate and compile standard VST, AU, and CLAP plugins via JUCE.
