My only complaint, they call that red! I do want that microcosm in ORANGE. Must resist.
Wow! Perhaps I’m color blind!
Right there with you I guess. That’s like a Taracotta Orange, ain’t no damn red
More limited editions? Didn’t they have a 10th anniversary edition like 4 months ago ![]()

Are special editions still a thing in 2026?
I’m starting to question if I’m still a thing in 2026!
It looks a lot worse on their website imo, more reddish there. I like the blue one the most.
Yeah, I am a sucker for orange stuff but based on those photos this one isn’t quite hitting the spot. The yellow looks nice. Although I think the standard Chroma Console is already a colourful little cutie, so I’m not sure it needed the facelift.
Has anyone tried using the CC on guitar behind a boost pedal? The big problem I’ve found with it in a band context is not being able to jump out for solos, since there’s only one drive slot. If you hold back on the volume knob on your guitar to give yourself headroom, the tone just becomes anemic
I dig the colors, especially the yellow, green and blue. Blue imo is the best. While not for me, I’m happy they’re introducing colors into their catalog. I wish synth manufacturers brought back color schemes.
How heavy do the saturation models go?
Pretty Heavy IMO. In fact I think too heavy handed for some.
Luckily there are many ways to tinker with the saturation aspects.
Rule number 1: Use the auto input gain feature to get the best gain staging, the saturation is super dependent on this in my experience.
Use the SENSITIVITY and EFFECT VOL secondary controls to further fine-tune the saturation sensitivity and output levels.
IMO Sensitivity matters a lot and kinda helps dial in the ammount of sat, then you can further sculpt it with the tilt EQ.
For the texture effects, I find that setting the correct effect volume is key!
Hope this helps!
Disclaimer:
I dont use guitars, mainly samplers with a lil bit of drum machines and synths
