Chord partner for Analog Rytm

But ST has 4 note polyphony when using a MIDI Machine and its MIDI capabilities are way more advanced than the Rytm.

Oops, misinterpreted the Rytm’s limitation

would be nice to compare this track with a new version after the calibration update

Can you trigger the 10 chord slots in the Isla Kordbot with MIDI note numbers? If so, wouldn’t that be ideal?

Otherwise I think a laptop is your best option. Unless you want to use transposed chords on a synth. If you’re doing old school jungle this might be enough for you

Third option is to sample chords into the sound pool of the Rytm

Maybe there is some secret tool I’m missing. But I’ve been looking into this too, and I didn’t find (m)any straightforward options

1 dedicated advanced MIDI track on the Rytm would be so welcome. Especially now with the new page loop feature.

Sorry, been absent from the forum for a while.

Found this video on how it works with the Dt:

I think @Doug did some amazing tutorials on how to do this on the Dt (which is basically the same) and also made some custom firmware for using this cable with elektron machines.

If you only use 2 tracks for your drums, you have 6 left for DCO voices (samples), giving you 6 voice polyphony. Getting your drums just on 2 tracks will most likely require intricate parameter and sound locking, but should be doable. Your biggest constraint in such a scenario will be the somewhat limited tuning range of Rytm’s samples… besides maybe your patience?

I was also thinking of suggesting minifreak, but seems its already been suggested

The Behringer DeepMind has a chord map function so you can map a different chord of your choosing to every note of the keyboard.
