I should not have.

I did.

for the love of pete’s sake, and all things holy tom is sitting right there please make versions of the pedals where you put the i/o on the top like he did with cooperfx so the pedals can sit flush!!!

No worries. Can’t wait to hear what you all do with it!

What others are doing with GL always has me in awe. I think I realized I don’t like making that kind of music, but I do enjoy listening to it.

But then, them feets will multi-pedal press those stomp buttons, especially any wide shoe users and people who wear crocs!

Would you mind droping a few sounds with the Rev C ? Asking for a friend…

Strega into Rev C? I can definitely do that later tonight. Well, tonight for me and the early morning for the people of France!

*Forgive me, I’ve run out of hours this day. Still will record soon.

L+F kinda reminds me of the hologram chroma console, just a lot more wacky. It’s more flexible with mixing, equalizing, and routing the FX, but has fewer FX engines to choose from. Seems like a lot of fun to just experiment around with. Two tape delays in parallel with different feedback and delay times. Why not? Parallel double synth engines with different settings might be a cool thing to try out. Or you can build your own wonky shimmer reverb. Can’t wait to try all kinds of stuff with it.
Lost my job a few months ago and found a new one which started today. So it’s kind of a fitting release for me.

Yeah, L+F is not what I’m looking for. Maybe next time, CB.

So I’ve listened to both of these videos, thanks for posting them!

Some impressions:

  • I might like the bread and butter sounds the most. Both reverbs, tape delay and the chorus sound great. Those alone would probably be worth buying it if you’re looking for standard multi FX.
  • The resonator seems to be the most interesting effect overall. I love these slightly distorted accordion sounds, sounds very musical and something I could see recording 100% wet to get a second melody accompanying a synth that always fits but isn’t obviously the same melody.
  • The granular delay and pitch shifting sound meh to me, I might be over this kind of stuff and dedicated pedals like Mood or Onward do this way better.
  • The gen loss like mode also sounds underwhelming, but hard to tell if the guitar guy just dials in the error way too hard.
  • It’s great that they allow you to route any effect in any order with dip switches. Clear advantage over Chromaconsole.
  • This seems like a pedal that could need more than two presets on the panel. Clear disadvantage over Chromaconsole.
  • UI and features overall are really well thought out, even details like the EQs and compressor.
  • I’m wondering where in a chain I would put this. This seems like a pedal that might best be used on its own, as a kind of Microcosm of its own (pun intended). Or you get two of them and call it a day.
  • It seems even less weird than the manual reads, so I still don’t quite get why it’s a special batch.
  • Harp Lady didn’t seem too interested in the pedal and probably will never use it again.

The demos did remind me of Microcosm at times.
The guitar guy definitely dialed the mini gen loss too hard. I think ideally you would not want to use 1 of your 2 slots on that effect.
Joel said a significant reason for small batch was tariffs/economic uncertainty. He referenced the fact that many builders have gone under and that times are hard in general. Small batch really helps them mitigate risk and keep costs down and sustainable.

They are going to sell a lot of these. Likely a ā€œnot-so-small batchā€ release.

One piece of information that could be relevant or not:

Is this their first pedal without analog dry thru?

ā€œOriginally that was the plan but it’s looking more and more like it’s not. We still haven’t totally finalized the firmware but my understanding is that Tom was having issues getting intuitive tapers using it with analog dry though in all modes (it is analog dry though in buffered bypass w/ trails). I can have him write me up a more detailed explanation though. But as of now I’d say if not having analog dry thru when the pedal is on is a deal-breaker, you should skip this one.ā€ (Joel at TGP)

I’m wondering if this could replace my Onward. I only use the glitch side a little bit and mostly use the Ocatve + Overdrive…and only in manual mode. Think it might be a good trade on the board.

Ordered…damn it

It most probably will replace mine…

Lost and Found is a super cool concept, but I think it’s too much for my brain to keep track of. Having 144 possible permutations of FX in one pedal would cause my brain to melt down, especially with such limited patch storage. From what I’ve heard, only a few of the algorithms would work for the music I make.

That said, the second run of Reverse Mode C is super tempting. I’ve had my eye on it for a while. I need to watch some more videos to make an informed decision, but I have a feeling that I may be adding RMC to my collection.

lost and found feels redundant for those using synths, however, you might be able to get away with putting it on a drum bus for any parts of l&f that have synth effect. still don’t see it as a trad multi-effects unit like boss/tc/lexicons

Strega into Rev C.
0-Ctrl, controlling Strega with 0-Coast patched in, Ring Modded all the way.

Ziggy came to help, which was important because he’s the one who pointed out I forgot to initiate Spread and MISO for Strega’s mono output on my first passes.

So the recording below is a bit of nonsense, not for the sensitive stomach types. It’s mostly dry, but on a couple spots I added CXM 1978 for a bit of context. It’s obvious, so no worries about confusing what Rev C sounds like.

*Secret settings engaged on the fly, for extra roughness.

I think L&F is probably best suited for guitar, but I wouldn’t call it redundant for synth players. Only 2 of the 12 FX are synth engines and I’d imagine even these could yield some nice and unexpected results when fed with a synthesizer at the input. Hopefully, we’ll get some demos with drum machines and synthesizers in the coming weeks.
