Changing DT & A4 mk1 for a RYTM mk2

I’m thinking of going down this route and wondered what people’s thoughts on the idea are?

I’d like to get back to using pads to tap out beats on the fly and intend to use it in conjunction with a Nord Drum 3P. Being able to sample into the RYTM directly appeals. How are you using and liking your RYTM mk2?

I already have the synths I like so the A4 has been set aside and the DT has again been replaced with Octatrack so is also not used.
My plan is to have the Octa sequence the Virus TI2 and the DN sequence Nord A1r and Peak, then a RYTM and ND3P setup.

It seems a lot of money to just tap out some beats .

I hear you but was thinking of trading the DT and A4 for the Rhythm so no actual dent in the wallet so to speak.

Sonically the ND3P and the AR are a great combo! I also wanted to control the ND with my Rytm, but did not really like it. For controlling CCs/Parameter locks etc. it’s much easier with the dedicated midi tracks of DT/DN or the OT. Now I’m using my Machiendrum to control the ND. Suits my workflow way better

Thank you for this.
Maybe I should just use the DT and ND3P together as it does cover a lot of sonic ground and being able to p-lock parameters and send program change messages completes it.

The A4 is still superfluous now so maybe I should just sell and reduce my gear rather than keep swapping.

I feel a gear sell off list is coming…

With regard to using the pads of the ND3P it’s a shame it only sends out midi on the global channel and not all the individual track channels…

Yes, although Retrokits might have a solution for that I believe?
