What the M:C needs to receive is midi program change messages … they map to the patterns in sequence A1 … A16, B1 … etc.

And how to do that?
I have no idea of the force setup I’m afraid. If you don’t get any luck here ask somewhere force people are likely to read.
On the M:C you’ll need to go to
- Config -> Midi -> sync -> PCH In -> ON, (to turn it on) and
- Config -> Midi -> In Chan -> PCH In to set the midi channel

Forget Force, how to send program change from anywhere in order to change the pattern?
It’s going to depend on the device. Some keyboards have a program change control (e.g. my little Novation LaunchKey Mini), sophisticated sequencers like Elektrons digi line allow to to send Program Change as part of a sequence, Model:Samples and Model:Cycles will change patterns in sync without too much setup.
The answer to ‘how’ will vary a lot depending on what the other device is.
