CF card won't eject from computer in USB mode

I am trouble with my CF card. After loading samples, when I attempt to eject, I get a - can’t eject “Octatrack” because it is being used by another program - message.

Ultimately I force eject, but worry about corrupting the CF card.

I am using a MacBook Pro.

I am a very new user - about 3-4 hours of experience

any suggestions?

How exactly are you loading the samples onto the Octatrack’s CF Card? What program are you using? It may be because you are using a program that is then saving the samples directly to the card, and if you still have that program open while trying to eject the Octatrack/Card, it can’t.

The way I do it is I make loops or hits or whatever in Ableton Live and then render them out into their own folders on the desktop. Then I close live, mount the Octatrack and drag the folders right onto the card. That way no “program” can hold up ejecting the card.

ah - that may be it. I’ll give it a try next time in the studio. Thanks.

Problem solved. I did need to quit Live.
thank you

You’re welcome. Glad I could help!
