CC messages, Controlling Analog with Octatrack

I have always used software and decided to move to external Synths and Drum Machines so I purchased the Analog4 , Rytm and Octatrack , since I have always had a high interest in sampling I have taken to using the Octa more so than the other two Elektron units, I am very much a beginner, but am now looking at creating whole tracks.
My question is this, I want to use the Octatrack to control my Rytm, I have used the Transport Send and Clock features to start stop a sequence which works fine but I now want to make a matching project on Rytm to the one I am now working on in Octa, and then I want to change my patterns on Octa and have the same patterns change on Rytm, so if I used bank 1, pattern one on Octa and then decided to change to bank1 pattern 2 the Rytm would change also. I would like to do this with pattern chains as well.
I hope that makes sense

Oh and sorry I know it said Analog in the header but I used the Rytm as an example in my post sorry, but I imagine they would both operate in the same fashion.

The Analog Four and Analog Rytm allow external control of which pattern each plays by using MIDI Program Change messages.
You would need to ensure that the AF and AR are each receiving Program Change messages using the PRG CH RECEIVE setting in the MIDI CHANNELS menu on both units.
The Octatrack can send MIDI Program Change messages on its MIDI tracks.
Check the appropriate sections in the manuals for details of how to set all this up. Check back in here to let us know how you get on and if you have any more questions.
