@AlMA Try copying the pattern to another blank pattern, see if that works.

Just came across this thread searching the same issue.
For me it seems like what was causing the track not to mute was having a long (or inf.) note length and an arpeggiator on.

For all future geniuses out there who strumble upon this thread:
Go to Midi Config and make sure mute destination is targetting internal and not set to ext
If it’s set to external, the mute functions won’t be applied to A4 tracks but instead sent over MIDI to the selected midi track.
