I’ll proudly wear my MrZardoz T-shirt when I get on Top of the Pops.
I guess I am the uncoolest person in the world ![]()
Such t-shirts could have some unique stuff, like only subtle logo… limited edition, etc.
However, having a t-shirt of another band on stage could look strange, even it’s a sign of respect…
(Why not wearing t-shirts with French post-structuralist philosophers. Like La mort de l’auteur or… nevermind)
Wear whatever the fuck you want! Life’s short!
Just imagine you’re out and a person you find attractive sidles up to you and says in a flirty voice, “That’s a really cool shirt.”
If you’d feel awkward answering “Thanks! It’s this band I’m in,” then don’t wear it. Otherwise, go for it.
Honestly, wearing shirts suck!
I’d wear a T-shirt of my own face printed like one of those animal face shirts. If only I were this handsome.
I’d love for people to wear band shirts with covers that are just photos of themselves!
Lovely eyes!
Lemmy could do whatever the fuck he wanted.
I wear a Browns shirt in public! Beat that!
I made some t-shirts for a pop up gallery me and my friend did for a while , and I wore them without hesitation.
I also designed a couple of hoods, t-shirts , caps, both for myself and for another clothing company , and wore them as well.
Didn’t even realize that was cringe until now ![]()
It isn’t! Do what you want!
I think this is all solved by making staff versions of those t-shirts in a slightly different colour that have STAFF written on the back.
Because Lemmy is god. If we were created in god’s image, then what does that mean for the OP’s question?
I’ve always done all of the artwork for my bands/projects, and screen printed the shirts, stickers, etc myself. I’m not going to put that much effort into it and not avail myself of my own hard work.
Also, nothing is less cool than worrying about what’s cool.
That’s a cool thing to say ![]()
But to the OP, I think it depends on the situation. I was in a goth industrial band that wore our own shirts with a fairly obscure logo on the back, which we also had painted on our leather jackets (90’s Portland) and it eventually became sort of iconic… we would see people wearing the shirts everywhere. Apparently some people still do.
