Thought it was an early MPC Key 49 for a second…
Had one briefly. It was un good. Based on a bad software copy of the Komplete Kontrol idea. Shame, since the hardware was nice.
…akai is just not akai anymore…simple as that…always the same game…
great concepts, but bad and always unfinished business when it comes to final coding homework…
their mini controler series are still good products…but anything else and beyond 200 bux always ends up in headscratching anger these days…

Had a friend paid a lot of money for the larger model with the vip software when it came out.
On paper it sounded great for vst control but reality was it never really worked and akai abandoned it and was a waste of money.
