Can a retrig trigger filter envelopes?

I have tried to do this, but I couldn’t find a way. Is it really not possible to trigger a filter envelope with a retrig? If not, it would be a great addition…

If you go to AMP second page you can set FX to retrigger, I tend to set it to R+T. Then on your trigs make a trigless trig, Function + Trig, then hold that trig and hit Yes. That should then trig the filter you assigned.

Hellcore’s right with the setup, but the trigless trig will only trig the filter once, there’s no retrig parameter for trigless trigs… Trig counts don’t seem to work either, you have to place a trigless trig for each step you want it trigged on…
How many times did I say trig in there? Ha :grinning:

Enveloppe filter retrig works with Trig Counts, Microtiming Page. Up to 8 per step.
I’m not friend with Amp page Retrigs anymore since I know Trig Counts.
Not sure if it works with Lfo retrigs but I think so.

I tried, It didn’t seem to do anything… :thinking: I tried with two different sources and different envelope and filter settings but I couldn’t notice it working, even at 30 bpm…
You got this to work with trigless trig?

Not especially.
Too late to plug my Ot but Trig Counts behaved as a retrig with envelope retrig when I used it.

Seriously, have you done this with a trigless trig or just regular trig?

Ok but anyway I can tell you can retrig envelopes with Trig Counts.
Not sure with Trigless and One Shots. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

OP, we went on a tangent when you were gone :ecstatic:. I guess we need to know if you want the sample to trigger just once and then the filter envelope to retrigger, or the sample and filter envelope to both retrigger along together?
Your answer most likely involves the amp setup fx1 parameter…

Yeah hahaha you went down the rabbithole! I don’t think it’s possible to trigger the filter envelope with retrigs (meaning those set with RTRG and RTIM), which is sad because I use those parameters a lot in making my sequences and use the filter a lot too. Using the trig count in microtiming is fine, but not open to LFO, sadly.

There is another way to retrig with the envelopes : the arpegiator. You can vary it with lfos. It’s more complicated for sure.

Triggering enveloppes with RTRG would be great, for sure.
