Calibration after 1.30/1.31 update?

Does anybody else got the reminder poping up right after the update process?
Of course I need to let my AR warm up for 2 hours but tonight I wont do it. Need to sleep…

Just give me some feedback why this happend and if you did it.
Thanks! And enjoy the update

It’s essential for the new machines.
Did it. Went fine, no issues.

Yes if it’s asked it’s important i imagine that new synthesis model installed it’s needed a recalibration to set all in the right tune (i imagine) it doesn’t take long 10-20 minutes to recalibrate better to click PLAY and go drink a coffee in town and come back 2 hours later to launch the recalibration process.
Also when it shaw the message calibration done you can click on exit and come back to the menu you want. it still rest on the calibration page thought so done message and it’s OK

When the RYTM is warming up does it actually have to generate sound or is it enough just keeping it powered on, sittong idle for two hours.

My calibration keeps coming up failed on filter sweep 1 and filter res 1 tried now about 8 times any pointers to why .

I calibrated mine before the update, and I had that same issue. I eventually just left it on for 3-4 hours and it finally worked.
Best of luck!

2+ hours warm up after OS upgrade, calibration took less than 10 minutes.

If you have issues calibrating, let the machine warm up for a bit over 2 hours (maybe even four?) and try a couple of times again.

The new calibration is much more precise and less forgiving than the previous, so it might need a few more tries.

If you flat out cannot get it to work, please contact us via our support section on our website and we’ll help you out.

as others have asked here, (and I asked myself) " does it suffice to just keep the machine on, or should it actually play for 2 hours? "

(i did with just idling and went fine for me)

Because of the warm, machine will be more warm if it’s playing (you can set master level to zero) i notice it should warm a lot more when playing than only powered and idle…

Probably better for the calibration process

just on
or smartly as suggested, playing some CPU intensive mashup

No, the analog components just need to reach the expected heat levels. It’s fine to just leave it on without anything going on.

Just don’t put it in the microwave to speed things up. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

i lol ed!

I did the calibration yestersay after 3 hours on but without playing anything. Calibration porcess took 7 minutes. Flawless. Thanks for your reactions!

Here it fails, over and over… I’ve tried everything I think, and it keeps failing :sob:

I raised a ticket with Elektron about my failed calibration attempts and my RYTM is to go back for a service !!!

sorry but how do you “launch the calibration process” ?

found it in system sorry…so I should wait 2
hours and launch it from system…

Hi

I’ve installed OS1.31B two weeks ago, a calbration request popup appeared
but i waited until today to do it cause i had a few tracks to record and i feared
something change with general sounding. and obviously it happened (i had waited 2 hours warming up before starting calibration), most of the sounds in the tracks (i haven’t any new machines from this update in my former tracks) sounds now detuned or more distorted. Any solution ? i’m a bit angry, i have a 2hours live to play in a few days and i’d like to come back to the original sound i had.

Thanx for helping
