Call me when they release Snapfront.
This plugin is the bomb. Works great, results are v good too.
Word! So are you using the goldbaby layers with SnapBack? I didn’t realize we could load our own samples.
…it comes with heaps of transient and tail sample snippets, curated by cableguys themselves plus heaps created by somewhat known other producers…AND also offers the classic USER category, same as in all other cableguys plugins like shaperbox, where ur free to import any audiofile u want…
Cableguys are pretty cool guys
I think so …you can render its output to a proper audio file to be loaded elsewhere
Dirt’Layers …yeah…that was and still is soo good
…hell yeah…they only focus on real needs and not the next fancy copy of copy…
strictly releasing only rare plugins that are real serious pro tools for the sonic community…
and really do what u need them to do with no further fuzz…coding at it’s finest…
when i went back itb, i had no clue what else i might need on top of bitwig…
wasted quite some money on third party plugins…only to realize, yeah, some historically forever relevent lexicon reverberation is good to have but in essence, bitwig and shaperbox is all u really need…even when bitwig then also implemented multi envelopes for everything, shaperbox stayed relevant…snapback is a nobrainer for me…
My first thought too!
Yep, they load in nicely. The Cableguys samples are brilliant though, I’m just a bit obsessed with Dirt & Layers.
I don’t do complicated drum patterns or sounds. And for anything drum related I already use shaping tools, EQ and of course transient shapers. So I won’t be buying this plugin. But, I watched the video and I think for $29 it’s definitely a good tool to have it all in one place.
Absolutely. I have their shaperbox and it’s excellent, plus their YouTube channel is brimmed with genuinely helpful tips and tricks.
Word. About to cop the gold baby pack.
The guy who does their Youtube videos and shorts should put together a book with all his tips and tricks. He’s given out quite a bit of some banging advice, even if most of it is clever marketing of their products. I’ll be picking this one up. Their free panner plugin is one of my most used devices. I use it on just about every track.
I’m same - heavy Bitwig user, and I evaluate all plugins against Bitwig. Even their new eqs and compressor have rendered many other plugins, if not obsolete, unnecessary.
I actually have most of the CG plugins - shaperbox, filtershaper, SnapBack, and even the synth.
What CG gets very right is workflow. Take filtershaper. Seems very redundant. But the interface and workflow make it standout.
Usually I’m a struggle through your tools kind a guy, but cableguys are a rare exception.
The Bro!
Good one! And if you’re after timeless hip hop packs, Goldbaby’s Cookbook series is so good
…well, only if u want to or not capable of looking beyond…
This is so true. Using presets (that’s what these are) is fine. Anyone can tweak them to taste.
