Built a midi pedal for pickups using an arduino

I’m doing the #jamuary2018 and I felt I needed a midi pedal for starting a stopping.

So I whipped together a midi pedal with an arduino, an ikea plastic container, a few buttons and a midi-port.

It works pretty well: https://www.instagram.com/p/Bdj5qsPB5S4/

Did you programed the Arduino?
Midi shield or something with libraries?
Works with shoes?

I programmed the arduino. Pretty simple actually
Connecting midi to the arduino is pretty straight forward. Three connections and two resistors.
Hopefully it’ll work better with shoes, since this feels close to stepping on a lego.

That’s nice! I was thinking about something like that, and i have an arduino lying around. Seems pretty easy.

I have one too. It seems a good and simple start.
I’d like to make a custom midi processor, usb to midi too.

Nice job well done :+1:

I once made a midi controller with joysticks with a doepfer kit. But with an arduino it could be more flexible.
