Would be interesting to know if this works well with a 4 track variable speed playback device like the Noodle Rider. ( post ) You’d need some tricks getting the splice length to match to a beat but that’s the fun of this sort of thing.

Definitely, or with something like the Onde Magnetique OM-1 tape synthesizer which uses tape loops as a sound source.

Although I think these tapes use long sustained notes, I’m not positive.
