BT track turned into a high pitched squeek

Hi all

My BT engine has turned into a high-pitched squeek, almost like a bad high hat. It happens on all different projects. Even when I change the pitch or tuning, it remains unusably high. It happens when the pad is used, the internal sequencer., and when using an external sequencer. The same sound happens on the master out and individual out. Has anyone else had this issue, and is there an easy fix, or is it buggered?

Thanks in advance.

i had a somewhat similar issue on mine (MKI) where BT changed into a noise machine: Analog Rytm OS 1.60A: bug reports - #44 by guga
it’s never been fixed for me i’m afraid, all the firmware upgrades have not done any good to it, it could be an hardware issue but it’s just a guess.
maybe yours is just firmware related (hopefully) else you should get in touch with HQ see what they’ve got to tell you

I would open a support ticket with Elektron. I had a mkI that had a similar issue and it was hardware. I sent it in for repair and they fixed it. If that’s the case they’ll let you know up front what it’ll cost.

Thank you @guga and @Zac I shall do that. However today it isn’t a problem, even with the same tests. One of those!

I got the feeling the sweetspot on the BT is quiete narrow? Mostly i did go with low filter and high resonance - but i tried other settings - but it looses its omph, and i have to go back where it thumps. Does any of you have favourite settings? Also it works on C3, but if i try different pitches - it starts to fall apart again.
