I Desperately need this Boss mouse:
Here’s a video:
1,920,000 Vietnamese Dollars = US$74
They’re asking 50% for preorder, delivery date November 2025
I’m not sure about the website: Is it legit or scam? Should I fall into their trap?

Probably the coolest looking but least ergonomic mouse design ever.
Give you that extra spicy carpal tunnel.
C’mon man I need you to continue to be the voice of reason ![]()
That countdown timer on the site you linked is usually a red flag. Found another site with the same listing.
Roland BOSS Digital Delay Collector Edition Wireless Mouse – 9spaceX
They both look pretty sketchy. All you can really do is look at the website info and find out who it’s registered to, how long it’s existed, and whether any trust score websites have it flagged as a scam.
It could be legit in that they’ll send it to you, but no way Boss approved the trademark use so it’s bootleg goods either way. Not that the issue is whether this is genuine boss product, but it just says that you’re dealing with people who either deal in scams or mass production of bootleg goods.
Would be a cool thing to have on your desk though.
Man, I bought fake nikes off a website that looked sketchier than that so I can’t say 100% that you won’t get the thing if you pay for it, but it’s definitely in the realm of sketch. Probably an unnecessary risk.
That alternative site you linked to is even more scammy… Too bad.
They sure did a great job of captivating my imagination
I would recommend making the purchase from ebay or anywhere with moderate accountability. I know it sucks to pay more but at least you know that you’re going to get something in return for your money.
I did not look for a better price, but maybe there is one and this should at least get you started in your search.
If you end up buying one you should post some product impressions, including whether or not it can be reasonably used as a real mouse or if it’s strictly a novelty item.
Good luck
If the maker is just reusing an existing pedal there’s not really a problem. As far as I understand it, the trademark part only comes into it if they’re making new copies that look like boss pedals. Once you own a piece of hardware it’s yours to do what you want with.
We’ve gotten way too scared of violating IP law etc when we really don’t have to worry. It’s like those illegal “removing sticker voids warranty” stickers that manufacturers still put on their devices.
If you dig into the photos, it’s a unique design (not a repurposed pedal) so I’m just talking about it from that perspective. This may be based on an actual Boss product that was a special release in Japan or something, but the majority of what I saw in a quick search were definitely bootleg products.
Ok, so it’s not a real pedal shell converted into mouse: this definitely takes away its charm. At this point I think I’ll do it myself: I’ll empty an old Boss pedal and glue it onto my mouse
and yet a bit less charm still, but if you wanted to, you could make use of this Boss pedal mouse shell 3d print that I found:
Mouse cover Boss OD guitar pedal by Lello MakerWorld: Download Free 3D Models
Doing it with a real pedal would be awesome but it would require some alteration of the mouse’s base electronics to get it to work.
You’d need to at a minimum find compatible switches that you can replace from the original mouse so that they can be mounted into the holes for the fake pots. If you wanted the side mount scroll wheel, a bit more work still. I don’t know if that would require some additional components for debouncing the new switches, you’d have to see if there was an issue first.
I’m usually pretty gung-ho about DIY projects but sometimes I look at the cost vs the benefit and just pay for something prefab. Depends on what is commercially available and the ultimate cost etc.
You could give it a shot though, because it would be fun to try.
In this case I can understand why you’d want it to be legit but at the same time it will be both costly and a bit of a headache. Not impossible though.
Pretty sure it’s still more ergonomic than the apple mouse!
Ah, in that case this looks like it will totally annoy Boss and Roland
Ain’t anyone gonna talk about why they didn’t use the actual pedal switch as the mouse button?! Like, why would I click the potentiometer?
Imagine if it was also as hard to press as a real Boss switch.
Does it do usb audio?
I want to use my Logitech trackball mouse as a pedal!
I guess some calls to local or other music stores for any internally broken pedals beyond fixing. Scoop them up cheap.
Unrelated to the original question… trackball converted to midi controller. X axis controls the filter cutoff, Y axis the resonance.
That’s no fun. No gutting machinery? No soldering iron?
Lame.
