Big Six - Route to Octatrack, not using the sends

I have the Big Six SSL mixer, and I’m wondering if it’s possible to route channels to the Octatrack for sampling just by maybe using some kind of a submix?

I’d prefer to use the sends for my effects.

I can use the mute, which will send the signal to Bus B, but I prefer to not mute the channel while I’m sampling it.

Any ideas? @DaveMech maybe have some experience with this?

You can activate bus b to go to monitors  so you’re not actually muting it then. Goes to a different usb channel (13/14) then main (15/16) though.

Amazing thank you @DaveMech. I’ll give this a try.

Phenomenal mixer BTW

Is your OT connected to BiG SiX with other gear? If it is, you might sample the “insert by Bus B”, while outputting signal via OT. Just a thought.

I designed my first BiG SiX setup with OT as insert in main, utilising it’s always sending feature. Another thought to consider in the future.

Cheers!
