It is in French but you can see the ranking easily;
BS II owner here… midi and presets and a keyboard…hard to beat the BS II , good list, good link… cheers klerc
I agree with you TrabanT: difficult to beat the BSII, especially second hand in USA. Lots of features for the price. A bread and butter analog with a decent keyboard. Less features packed, the Microbrute is fun with its mini batch bay though.
yeah… I have a sh101…and the lack of presets and no midi …sigh… bsii sell in germany right now for 365 euro new ,. second hand prices usually are 320 !!!
I have a hard time understanding who makes those rankings and why.
The minibrute isn’t “bad” but it has a seriously weak output circuit, no memories, and a keyboard with “a little too much” aftertouch.
I’ll repeat it here, being kind of a synth nazi on this; today, bang for the buck nothing beats a blofeld, and very few things beat it regardless of price. It’s just my opinion of course, but I can’t see how the minibrute can in the eyes of anyone be a better synth than a Blofeld
I like forward people with a strong opinion! … ![]()
NO SYNTH FOR YOU! ![]()
If you have an account on this website you can vote to choose which one is the best… that’s how the ranking is done.
BUT that’s not really the point.
What is really interesting IMO is that it gives a list of choice. A good starting point to investigate and see what is the best for you.
t’was a poll more than a ranking.
More votes went for Minibrute. I’m sure owning a Minibrute made one more inclined to vote for it, and the cost for entry is lower, so probably a bit more Minibrute ownership among those being polled.
Blofeld is a ton of synth for the cash, indeed.
I’d take a (French) pre-built Audiothingie’s P6 over most of those synths listed, personally, but my values are different than most.
Micro Korg lol
