I always liked the polyvoks filters from erica synth, although I had difficulty to integrate them.
I’m very excited about this. No-one’s managed to make a modern Polivoks work without being wildly expensive, pretty heavily compromised or modular.
This might well be my first Behringer synth.
Why new? Old are still available under 500$
Because the goal for this work isn’t to remake the old product. This is intended to be something new, a much improved reimagining based on the principles that made the Polivoks unique.
Quoting Kuzmin from his statement :
For many years it has been my dream to create a new and much improved Polivoks.
He also described their objective as a “reimagining of my Polivoks.”
I want to see Behringer continue to invest in people with other visions, to make distinctive products, while providing a quality for value synthesizer that people can use.
We shall see if they can deliver on this larger objective.
Pic of it here.
‘Bolivoks’
I mean that’s reason enough to buy it, fucking hilarious.
Good idea. I’m gonna stop drinking vodka right away.
First: Don’t believe all Russian rumours thinking Vodka originated from Russia. It was actually Poland.
Second: There’s Vodka produced all over the world. There’s no need to include Russian propaganda while drinking some Vodka. Maybe buy some great Vodka from Ukraine instead. Cheers
Nice, can’t wait for some sounds to drop.
Edit: maybe keep the politics talk in a separate topic?
Pulsar is a great seller here too especially in the limited edition t-34 paint job 💁🏻
Ah… For a moment I fell for that vicious Russian vodka propaganda…
You saved my soul, man… Thank you.
Now I can get drunk knowing I’m doing it for a right cause…
Are you claiming that SOMA is pro Russian invasion or promoting it somehow?
SOMA shifted all business to Poland and spoke against the Russian invasion. Some of the team still lives in Russia which makes it very hard for them for obvious reasons.
Eh? There’s no politics in my post. I just said ‘Bolivoks’ is funny. Because it is.
I wanna hear what it sounds like too. If its cheap and sounds right, its possibly tempting.
Sorry, was referring to the posts after yours but didn’t want to make a new post.
Transferred not because of personal beliefs, but because of sanctions in Russia and associated with a terrorist state. It’s more about business than personal beliefs. Soma are separatists. It’s worse than discussing Kuzmins polyvoks ft. Uli.
oh man… you didn’t fall to ru-vodka propaganda, but fell to Soma’s
there was separate topic on that, so not to drift off too much — do you have any links on them speaking against the invasion?? I keep track of them monthly. Vlad was having fun right the next day, on the 25-26th of Feb 2022. they do run the business from moscow. they still hire there actively. etc etc.
speaking on topic: OG Polivoks had the unmistakable military design, tank tracks on its sides… apart from that, I don’t know what Kuzmin does now, where he lives and his status in the industry. those things matter. regardless, it’s not the best moment, PR or business wise too, to present a recreation of ru ‘military synth’ on this scale. maybe if they combine it with overt, strong anti-russian war / pro-Ukrainian message of support, and donate to AFU. but they’re too weak, they won’t do anything like that.
where ???
This has already been discussed in the Behringer Gear in Progress topic, which is the place to discuss gear in progress. It’s also free of the politics
