Behringer RD-8 Mkii

What could it be.

Behringer RD-7 ? I have no clue with those old Roland “Ryhtm Designers” - but it sure sounds like one of those Rolands (and 808 and 909 are already cloned, right?)

Based on that teaser probably a sequencer, they have 80’s Roland drum sounds pretty well covered already.

Yea, maybe the BCR/Xaquencer (or whatever) remake/reissue/self-clone?

What happens if it’s not a clone ? Is that possible ?

A week to wait.

ADDED: Thread title changed after this post.

Sounds like an 808 to me…maybe in a smaller formfaktor?

Sounds a bit like a TR-808… I’m confused.

Maybe a new rd8 with a few hardware fixes in rd6 smaller format?

It sounds more 808 to me than 707/727 etc

the visuals don’t match with their previous mockups though

Yeah true… sounds exactly like an 808. Smaller form factor would be cool

It’s a clone of the unreleased Circuit Rhythm.

This is an all singing, all dancing groove box. This is the first of a batch of videos that will reveal layer and layer of synthesis, sampling and sequencing, a combination of what they’ve learned so far from the market.

wishfull thinking at its best :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Linn Drum clone Chineserie

There was this leak a few years ago that they where going to build a drum machine that, unlike RD-6, RD-8 and RD-9, was not a clone, but a more versatile and modern drum machine.

I think they originally called it RD-999

form old gearnews: Behringer accidentally leaks a whole world of forthcoming vintage clones - gearnews.com

RHYTHM DESIGNER RD-999 – this one is a bit more of a mystery. Maybe Behringer decided to innovate something themselves or push further towards the DrumBrute. Jomox had an XBASE 999 drum machine which was a mixture of synth and sampled drums. Same sort of specs as the other two but with 17 sounds and 11 outputs.

Ha, their ‘excuse’ of these being ‘concepts’ now smacks of total BS:

Of course, everyone puts up ‘concepts’ on their websites (sarcasm).

So, yeah, the RD-999 seems the most likely here.

Announcing the 999 might eat into rd-9 sales … if people are prepared to wait.
Could be sample based rd6 form factor box too… rd9 and linndrum have samples in them .
And as mention the font and font colour hint at 808 something .
Either way … I don’t ‘need’ it .
