Oh wow, these sound wonderful!

I don’t have a DT2, so I’m not sure, but the DT2 should also be able to send Program Change messages. According to page 98 of the DT2 manual, it sends MSB with BANK and Program Change with PROG. This allows you to select the Pro 800 preset banks A to D with BANK, and patches 0-127 with PROG.

Yesterday a T-800 entered my world, too. Lovely sounds, great filter.
Need to update the firmware, 'cause a few setting options simply aren’t there.

I also want to send programm change messages from DT (mkI).
I think you have to put a noteless trig with the MSB- and PROG-messages on step 1 of your pattern?

But what if DT loops the pattern? It will continue to send the program change when DT reaches step 1? So the 800 always loads the saved patch?

Or

Just use a 1st conditional trig.

Yeah, that thing sounds glorious! It’s just a personal quirk if I say I’d rather get the original instead of ā€˜a copy’, but at that price difference, the sound the Behringer makes, and me not using this stuff professionally…that Pro-800 is very tempting indeed!

I bought it and managed to have it fully controlled by the Digitakt thanks to @Elijah !
really cool combo

Here is a simple loop where I modify the texture of the sound with filter, enveloppe amount and noise. It could have been smoother but will do it better next time!

If I am rich one day I will buy the real one but for now this will do the trick

Cool combo indeed, it sounds great!

Thank you!

So not a biggie but I realize that the display is spamming values when the device receives a midi LFO from Digitakt in this case.

Long shot but I suppose there isn’t a way to turn it off?

I don’t think so!

Heya, all fellow Pro-800 owners!
Are you happy with the current PolyMod depth? Was it deeper in early firmware versions?

It could be a bit better, but that’s only possible - unless Behringer changes it via firmware - via a hardware mod.

This guy - with some pretty cool stuff on his website - made one: Behringer Pro-800 Info & Mods – maffez synth mods ← Of course this will void your warranty.

I’ve also made a video about 5 things I like about this synth. I forgot to share that here I see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaTsGLsbRgA

Is this still a problem?

I’ve not figured out how to ā€œfixā€ it so yeah unfortunately.

That sucks, hope they fix it. Have you reported it? On the plus side, at least it sounds non-traditional for pads, lol.

I honestly can’t recall if I reported it or not. I’ll have to check my behringer support account

Yeah, I’m thinking about the panorama mod - very cool thing to do! Also I’ll add there a distortion or (maybe) a wavefolder(s). But it’s a long story, I have literally no time for this now. At my best I can only put out Pro-800 and record something good.
So a better modulation depth would be really great!
I’ve created a request on their Facebook page (synthesizer and drums Behringer (official)). So I hope that we will make a group that will like that post and will comment something positive about this thing. I’m 99% sure that this change is very possible. In the smallest sysex size there is at least one free value (I’ve checked that about half-year ago). So it can be an option of a multiplier for the Polymod. This will keep old presets the same and will make Polymod very flexible.

Maybe it’s not close to your post… But I’ve found the same behaviour in DeepMind 12’s envelopes! I’ve created a nice intro for my track… But suddenly when I start playing it, slow attacks dissapears. If I play on a keyboard, it seems to work fine. The same thing with chords as you describe practically.
P.S. There can’t be note stealing. I’ve re-checked it few times.
