I was told it would be a little bit longer. Like a month or two. Probably a whole bunch just sitting on the dock of a bay…waisting tiiiiiimmmmeeeee.

hahah fair enough, frankly one of the osc’s here was mostly handling the kick duty, so the formula checks out!

Oh, i thought the kick was coming from somewhere else. How did you do this? I had a dfam for a while but never controlled the osc’s seperately.
hope this gives an idea. essentially the seq pitch mod is set to osc2 only, so osc1 is not effected by the sequencer pitch, and it’s just low freq with high env to give it that “kick sweep”. also VCA is patched to Velocity, steps 1 and 5 have the highest velocity so kicks are a tad bit more in front of the stage anyways.
i’ve read there are a couple of tiny differences with DFAM (apart from midi and pink noise) but can’t remember what they are, perhaps osc pitch mod decoupling is one of them?

i’m not sure if this info is what you’re looking for, but i use Octatrack as master and when i stop and press play again, the sequence on the EDGE starts from the first step as expected (so reset is working)

Received mine today from Anderton’s (UK). Great to have 6 patch cables included! Nevermind how good a value this synth is, it’s such an inspiration machine. Lots of sweet spots already. The kudos goes to Moog but I was never likely to own a DFAM.

Got mine the other day, running it through the modular and it’s like Black Dog tracks falling out of the speakers. However, having owned a DFAM before, I don’t think it sounds like one, in the same way the Crave doesn’t sound like a Mother 32. That’s not a problem though, the DFAM has a very distinctive sound that is hard to disguise. So rather than a copy, both the Edge and DFAM could happily co-exist.

Got mine yesterday and agree with this having previously had a DFAM. The filter is noticeably different. Still sounds good but a different flavour for sure. The addition of usb midi, the clock divider and larger sequencer knobs are great additions that address frustrations I had with the original.
