Before I buy a Model:Samples

I’ve read through some of the manual and watched a ton of videos now and I’m thinking of buying one. A few things I’ve not found a concrete answer too:

  1. I see you can have a single sample with multiple sounds inside, does M:S find the start of each sound by itself or do you have to stick to a set of rules so that always finds the start?
  2. Are retrigger trigs sent as a single midi note or as the seperate retrigger notes/hits?
  3. When you change a pattern while playing live, does the next pattern start immediately, on the next bar or when the current pattern finishes? Is this the same if it’s sent a program change from say Ableton?
  4. Can every pattern in a project have a different BPM? Seems: yes.
  5. Can you place trigs without samples? Digitakt can do this?
  6. Can the M:S send program changes to other gear?
  7. Can you adjust samples pitch finely or is it just by note? Like an offset so all notes are in tune? Assuming: no - but could change in future.

Hope you can help. Thanks!

  1. Can you parameter lock panning on individual tracks? Assuming: yes
  2. LFO per track? Assuming: yes.

These two I can answer (well, the manual can too).
8. Yes. Pan is one of the available destinations for the LFO
9. Yes. One LFO per track, can only act on parameters of that track.
