Beatstep Pro a few quick thoughts

So just got a shippment of the Beatstep Pro’s in Keeping one for myself :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
haven’t hooked it up yet but the build quality and feel of the transport/function button feels pretty good. Firm rubber with I believe a “click” when you engage them like tradional transport buttons and such.

Good weight to it not as big as I thought it would be about the size of a full featured wireless keyboard so will fit on most workspaces where surface real esate is limited .

Not a big fan of the color scheme but it helps with separation the different operating modes. I am definetly going to have to give it some love a la “dick malibu” style

In any event overall can’t be beat for the price of admission I looked at Squarp and Cirklon’s offerings but if and when I do pull the trigger on one of those units I am pretty sure this puppy will stay.

Primary use : trigger Octrack/A4 (drums) lots of knob turning for live sets (Please no “knobs” “dickmalibu” puns ! ) Minbrute Electribe 2 with Ableton

Portable use : Beatstep Pro/ios apps/ Volca sample

Anyways anyone else with other uses for the Beatstep Pro ?

I’m really looking forward to the “Engine” sequencer from Social Entropy.
Though I do like the velocity output on the Beatstep Pro.
Squarp Pyramid looks alright also…
