hi, i think i gonna normalize all my AUDIO/CUSTOM samples…
for converting all in one-click i’ll use “dbPowerAmp” software right click… with " *.wav " filter in my AUDIO CUSTOM folder + normalize action, replacing originals. (keeping same samplerate & bitrate & channel(s) options)
(i generally don’t use track 8 as master with a compressor…) -> i think my OUTs (main) are a bit low… (depending where i plug my OT)
do you confirm me the operation ? better no ? (got a backup but i should do it i believe… should be standard normalized samples…) (i got only 3 projects, im new…)
or do i just FUNC+LEVEL main lvl ? ~ +10 …
what main level setting u use ? (without compressor on 8…)
edit: if i add +10 on main level i’ll have clipping on preamp/soundcard… :s … i normalize samples?
if you’re clipping I doubt volume is your problem. if you’re peaks are clipping but the overall sound is quiet you’ll need compression at some point whether you do that with a master track on 8 or an external device like a RNC or boum etc.
the pb is that actually i use my preamp ADAT / soundcard to listen OT + one synth actually here… im planning a mackie 2404… in 3 weeks i made 3 credits, total = 18x100€ (Roland JP-08… OT Mk2… TC Electronic M2000 fx processor…),
cant boost with a limiter atm, ^… burned my VISA lol, thats the price to pay to go back/flashback to hard stuffs…
i needed to touch, to sculpt, again… im 43… i continue my dream of this home studio.
im repairing my Waldorf Blofeld : i got the “old burned resist issue / no headphones / low volume on main” oldness pb…),
ofc i can plug JP-08 in OT A-B like at begin, and chain M2000 back the OT…
lastly i was setting a tape/dub echo on M2000 with 2 mono filtered delay in 1/2 with different ms timings on L&R out, with JP-08 as sound source (chord stabs), synced by OT.
somes samples are like analog signals that MUST NOT BE MODIFIED, like PULSE & PWM will not sounds same volume, and so naturally must not sounds normalized.
