Basic 101 Question regarding saving

I’m blowing the dust off my A4, and delving a bit deeper than I went in the past. Really trying to convince myself of its worth, and I’m getting there… but one issue stands in the way between pure bliss:

When I try to save a sound (yes + sound) it takes me to a blank spot in the sound bank (which is in the 180s of K). I’ll eventually get around to making new sounds, but I’d like to save over the existing sound, but have no idea where it is. I could look it up, but that feels like a lot of work…

What’s the easiest way to save over an existing sound?

Thanks.

Just so I understand, you’re talking about loading a sound from the +Drive onto a track, tweaking it, then saving it to the same +Drive slot as the original?
I think you would have to use the search function of the sound manager to find the original. As far as I know there’s no shortcut to save over the existing sound. But with practice you can build muscle-memory and navigate the menus pretty fast.

Note that a sound in a kit is independent of any sound saved on the +Drive, even though they might have the same name.
