Hi there! I’m making a new project and the bank one have 70 bpm and the bank two 120 when I change between bank 2 to 1 , the bank 1 copy the bpm of the bank 2 , why happens this?
Thanks

If I remember correctly, Tempo is a property of a Pattern, not a Bank. So if you change the Bank tied to a Pattern, the tempo will remain unchanged.
UPDATE: I just filled a Bank with 16 Patterns, all the same Part, but 16 different tempos. I am now confident tempo is a property of the Pattern, not the Part.
By default, the Octatrack has one tempo that applies to the whole project, so that you can move between any pattern in the project while keeping the tempo consistent - often useful for dance music sets.
However, since last year’s firmware update, each pattern can be given its own tempo by pressing [FUNC] + [YES] in the Tempo Menu.
Thanks @PeterHanes. I always forget a key detail!
A Part is like a Kit in a drum machine, or like a template in a DAW (or even a bit like a font in a writing app). It’s the configuration of sound sources and sound processing.
A Pattern is like a MIDI file, like a sequence of notes and hits. It’s like the words in a writing app. Tempo is more meaningful in a Pattern. A Pattern needs a Part to play (so it has sounds), but the same Pattern could play different Parts. Each Pattern is linked to exactly 1 Part at a time.
Thanks guys
