I’m not getting angry response vibes from this, reads to me like he’s taking it and running with it. Like you say he’s never done a response video before, has thick skin, why would he start now

if you turn the volume down and focus on his body language, he seems pretty pissed off.

It is just a “meta humour” reaction to the copypasta about himself. Don’t read into it too much. You can check the vibe in the comment section under the video.
He is a niche youtuber without ads who turned it into a full time job. A relevant but not typical video is good engagement boost for algorithm.

I think it’s just that he decided it would be amusing to narrate the entire original post in the character of someone posting that seriously (even though I and he don’t think the original poster was fully sincere as opposed to ironic).
I might even be persuaded that he seeded the original post in /r/synthesizercirclejerk in order to be able to do this. But probably not.

Yeah, I definitely saw this as a meta-goof on poorly produced YouTube conspiracy videos, complete with bad lighting, breathless crazy-eyed delivery, and scoliosis-inducing posture

He 100% thinks its funny IMO. Its good easy content for the channel to just read it out. Keeping it a straight read adds some sarcastic meta-humor to it all. Not adding memes is probably mostly not add additional work, his other videos must already take a lot of time.

I skimmed over the last 25 posts so idk any of the details / what’s going on but I was very sorry to hear about Florian… My thoughts and prayers are with him at this time. I hope he can find the space he needs to calm down and reflect

There is something magic about the ES-1. It is a huge headache to load samples from computer, and the effects are almost entirely trash, but the UI is perfect. I liked it more than the ER-1
