Hi everyone, i’m facing a little issue
How is it possible to save samples of a project on a computer ?
the user manual says in the SYSEX DUMP section “Sample transfer is handled exclusively via the SAMPLES menu”.
it’s clearly explained how to transfer samples from a computer to the AR but nothing about sending samples to a computer, so there are my questions :
how do you manage samples saving ?
do i need to manage them directly on my computer for each project ?
Much like any DAW project you have saved, each project is saved with proper folders for each kit, pattern, and all things in between.
It’s always good to back-up your machine, as they can get filled up and it’s easy to loose a specific idea within the madness of untidy file management!
is there a way to do it tho? the sys ex will only take the pad sequencer dat right? not the samples themselves
I don’t have an AR myself, but as far as I know there is no documented facility for sending samples from the AR to a computer.
Presumably, Elektron expects that people will manage their sample library on their computers and only send samples to the AR when required.
Can you not send Samples / SysEx data via C6?
Also, I would expect Overbridge to handle this, no?
Hoping overbridge might bring new hope to the situation. IMO the ability to export samples out from the AR would certainly make me use the Strom for sampling more (as it is now, I’d need to back up the samples from the iPad to my computer if I wanted backups)
