I make super chopped up breakcore and IDM with software but I always used my elektron instruments and other gear for more dancey styles like techno. I’ve seen a lot of videos online of people doing some Jungley stuff using elektron gear and have experimented with it as well getting some pretty satisfying results but nothing quite to the extent that i could achieve using software. But this video I think is pretty impressive. I can see that he’s changing scenes and getting some pretty wicked results but I’m not sure exactly what is going on. Can anyone here tell whats up?
From 0:10 seconds and on, there´s heavy use of Delay Control trig mode. Selecting which tracks (trig buttons 9-16), and the different delay times (trig buttons 1-8) they will be affected by.
As you can see, not ALL tracks (selection of the trigs which got the green leds lit: 9-16) are aviable because the delay aren´t active on these tracks just the ones with the green leds lit. Thus you can have certain tracks affected while other still continues as normal.
