AUM -> Helicon Twin GO -> Model:Cycles

OK this is maybe slightly off-topic here, but I’m ultimately trying to include a Model:Cycles into my setup, so I hope this still fits here.

I have AUM running on an iPhone and just bought a TC Helicon Twin GO portable audio/midi interface, which I want to use to integrate the Model:Cycles.

The audio works perfect, so the USB connection iPhone -> Twin GO works.

What doesn’t is that I do not see any MIDI destination in AUM for the Twin GO, so I cannot yet send any MIDI to my Model:Cycles.

Any clues what I may need to do?

Are you aware, that you can send midi and audio over usb with just the cycles and your phone/tablet?

Plus a usb to lightning or usb to usb 3 cable (aka apple camera connection kit)

Thanks for the tip! :slight_smile: I am aware, yes, but since I also have effect pedals that the Cycles will be going through, I can’t get the Audio over USB anymore and hence need an audio interface - which is why I got the Twin GO as it has both audio and midi and is portable.

Ok, maybe try another app and see, if the midi port of the twin go shows up there. Maybe something has to be physically connected to the din midi port to activate the port? Back when i used aum, the midi ports were just there, (in the connection matrix) without setting special things up.

Also make sure to first connect the interface and then start the app after it has been detectet…

Just some guesses from me…

Thanks so much for all your input!

I’ve “figured it out™”. Makes me feel pretty silly now: I restarted my iPhone and that worked…

“Have you tried turning it off and on again” should’ve been my first attempt.
