I use a very fast LFO as a sub-oscillator and it goes out of tune with different tempos (higher tempo => higher pitch), despite bring TRIGged FREE. Is this normal? If so, is there a workaround?
TRIG and SYNC TRIG displays same behaviour.

FREE mode doesn’t mean it’s not synced to tempo; it just means that the LFO doesn’t reset at each trig.
Unfortunately, on the Octatrack, LFOs are always synced to tempo, so you won’t be able to get any fixed tones out of it.

Choose a tempo ! 
Little tip : you can go faster with lfo designer wave.

Totally. The stock ones don’t really cut it for range - or tonal flexibility.
