Audio is being input but intermittently is inaudible

so here’s what’s going on.

My octatrack is sending midi to my shruthi, the shruthi reveives midi and sends audio back to octatrack, I can see this because the light is flashing in time with the beat.

I have the input audio from the shruthi going to a flex recording buffer as is described in merlins notes, there is a rec trig and a play trig on beat one and they are set to receive input from channel D the shruthi.

Sometimes when I press play this works perfectly, it plays all the way through naturally and normally time after time. sometimes when I press play it plays for only a few of the first notes (while the input light continues to flash indicating signal is still getting through.

the rec buffer is not sliced, it has inf hold and release, no attack, there are no lfo’s, there is no good reason that I can figure that it should stop outputting sound from the shruthi but sometimes it does. There’s nothing I change to get it to work, I just press stop and play a few times and one of every 3-10 presses seems to work.

Any ideas or advice?

Bit confused…you mean the direct audio from the shruti or the playback of the sampled audio ?

If the latter, have you tried shifting the playback trig forward in time a fraction (1/192) using microtiming so the record trig always hits first ?
