I am trying to figure out how I could use my expression pedal to slowly trigger a performance.
I have some songs set up and want to use performances to create transitions between sections/chains, but I need both hands available to play synths so my feet must do the work. Can this be done?
• I have setup the expression pedal setup in Global Settings
• I have gone into Kit > Control Input 1, but from what I see you can only assign macros to the various track parameters (cutoff, freq, etc.). I do not see any option to modulate the performances.
Am I missing something obvious? I have seen a couple threads on here referring to the fact that this can be done, but haven’t found any examples of what setup looks like.
Thank you in advance!
Or is my only option to “recreate” my performances with the CI macros? So if my performance opens the filter, ups the overdrive and fades in a sample, I will need to setup the CI to do those 3 things with 3 different macros?
I guess that makes sense, but it’d be top friggin’ notch if I could just assign one macro to a perf and be done with it.
The way I do it is thru my Morningstar mc6. You can program 1 or all 12 preformance macros to be controlled by a expression pedal.
To my knowledge you cannot do this natively on the Rytm

Awesome. Thank you very much, as I did not know the Morningstar mc6 was a thing until just now. Glad I asked.
Alright, you just sold one of their pedals. Thanks again for the help!

No prob. You can also dedicate any of the buttons to scenes/ patterns up or down/ start/ stop. It’s fun.
Enjoy!
