A few months later, with a bunch of new Astrolab users and also the release of new MIDI keyboard controllers… can someone offer new thoughts or point to a good comment, video or article discussing the Astrolab vs separate controller + software dilemma?
Quick background: I’m considering Astrolab vs Keylab MK3. I’m aware of the differences in price and features. I’m still considering the Astrolab as an “easy mode” to just turn it in and play / play around vs a “more involved mode” where I switch on my Linux PC and dive into Bitwig instruments and/or Analog Lab running as VST. And I’m hesitant enough to ask here for more thoughts.
