what happens if u dont arm the track?

nothing (?)

Arming is for the one shot trigs either on the playback or recording pages. Stopping the seq will arm them too, fn+no disarms, fn+yes disarms. Is that what you were asking??

would that disable trig recordings ?

Do you mean recording trigs? It will disable them but only if they’re one shot (fn+trig makes it one shot iirc). A standard red trig will re-record every time the seq passes it. Watch the screen, + over a track means its buffer is recording.

Edit: I think it’s just traight up yes/no to arm trigs, can’t remember what fn+yes/no does, check das manual!

Edit edit: only grey avatars in this thread, let’s keep it that way

fn+yes= arm trig, track+yes=arm recorder trig

a regular trig trigs always. it´s just about one shot trigs. in the personalize menu there are different arm options. when nothing is checked hitting just “yes” activates a one shot (recording) trig

set a trig. press fn+ trig. it’ll turn orange and will now only play once it’s armed (fn+yes). same works with recorder trigs (track+yes)

what tasmansea wrote is only valid when “disable yes no arm” is checked in the personalize menu. if not, you just need to hit “yes” to activate a one shot trig (function+trig in grid recording)

oooooh… this is the one shot trigs … right? …they have nothing to do with the recording trigs ? right? should have mentioned I am in the process of recording shit !

I think I got it now …

final question:
arm track VS arm rec track ???

ah - didnt know that. thanks for pointing out

btw -… thanks all other elektronauts, for not messing up our nice grey avatar color scheme in this thread… cough cough tasmansea  … thanks for the informative answers tonight!

you should say arm a “one shot trig” or a “one shot recording trig” instead of arm a “track”
there is no “vs”
it´s my favourite method to record samples to an existing pattern. activate grid recording. press function + edit. go to rec trig. set a one shot rec trig. press exit (no). jam along with your instrument/mic/whatever. hit “yes” when you are ready to record ! et voila ! what i really like is that you have the time of a whole pattern to get yor instrument back under control after activating the trig - so you don´t need a footswitch or something else…

please elaborate! I might only get it 55 percent instead of the necessary 75 percent

select a track you want record to. press rec (grid recording mode). press fn + edit. scroll down to rec.trig. press fn + a trig (to set a one shot rec trig). press exit (no). be aware of all the other settings in personalize menu/ recording setup etc…
